AutoKeyClicker

AutoKeyClicker is a lightweight and portable piece of software that can automatically press keys on your behalf while you are away from the computer, in order to launch a program, send a message via instant messaging, open a file, or any other action that can be performed with keys.

Unlike many apps in this domain, this one sports just a couple of basic options that can be tinkered with by all kinds of users, even those less skilled in such software.

As there is no setup pack involved, you can drop the program files in any part of the hard disk and just launch the executable.

Another possibility is to save AutoKeyClicker to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any PC effortlessly and without previous installers. Just make sure the device is not read-only.

An important aspect worth taking into account is that AutoKeyClicker does not modify Windows registry settings, so it does not increase the risk of stability issues which commonly occur with installers.

The GUI is made of a little window with intuitive options, where you can get stared by specifying the typing interval (in milliseconds) and keys to press. The left or right mouse button may be activated as well. You can type the function key number for starting and stopping the script.

There were no kind of issues in our tests, since AutoKeyClicker did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It has a good response time and uses low CPU and memory, so it does not hog system resources. AutoKeyClicker serves its purpose.
