Serial Port Utility is designed with a simple purpose in mind, namely to facilitates data transfers via serial ports of your computer. It can communicate with serial ports to automatically detect connected devices, receive input and send commands with ease.

The application is intended for software developers and hardware testers, ensuring compatibility with any device that communicates with a computer via serial ports, such as medical instruments, relay boards, DMX and GPS devices.

It can also be used for TCP / UDP data transmission, integrating both TCP server and client functionality and allowing data sending and receiving. It automatically identifies available COM ports, enabling you to select the desired port from a drop-down list.

Received information can be displayed in both text and hex format. There are other various configuration settings that you can alter, such as display options (show or hide sent messages and the receipt time) or the loop time interval, the data bits to send, parity, the flow type and the baudrate (for COM ports).

Serial Port Utility supports a dual panel view so as to manage the transmitted information much easier. It enables you to send commands and files via the selected port and features a dedicated panel for NCD replay boards.

The integrated checksum calculator helps you check data integrity, while the generated log keeps track of all the actions.
