Working on important projects often requires you to open multiple windows and your desktop can get messy in no-time.

While there are a few tips for maintaining a tidy workspace, using specialized software, such as WindowSpace, to help you organize your desktop might prove an efficient way of doing so.

This application does not interfere with your work by displaying unnecessary windows, instead it silently runs in the system tray. When you decide to use it, you just need to configure basic behavior-related settings and it can start organizing your open windows.

It provides you with a simple, yet handy interface that can be accessed through its icon in the tray, which can also be hidden, if you want to.

WindowSpace comes with a handful of useful features, such as snapping, which allows you to align multiple windows at once, without having to constantly change their position on desktop.

You can change the program's behavior, so that moving windows to certain parts of the screen can trigger various outcomes; for example, dragging them to any of the corners can automatically resize them to one fourth of the screen.

This application also features global hotkey support, so that you do not need to manually move windows by using your mouse, but instead you can use a customizable set of keyboard shortcuts. This function can prove to be very useful for laptop users.

WindowSpace allows you to pin a window on top of another one and allows you to simultaneously work with both, without needing to switch between them.

Some programs you use do not provide support for running in the tray. However, when using WindowSpace, you can easily send them to the system tray or simply hide their window by using the right-click or middle-click on their Minimize button.

Since it features an unsophisticated interface and good integration, WindowSpace is not a demanding application when it comes to resource consumption. This means you can run it on almost any machine, be it low-end or a more powerful one.

To sum it up, WindowSpace can be a handy utility if you usually work with multiple windows and want an easy way to neatly organize them.
