Perform web navigation options like refresh and add to favorites from a simple, intuitive desktop toolbar compatible with popular web browsers. #Broswer control #Browser launcher #Launch browser #Launch #Launcher #Refresh
Using your computer on a daily basis most likely implies going online. Needless to say that this task requires a web browser, and the market is flooded with such products with different features and performance specs. To make navigation a little easier, Browser Controls comes as an extra set of tools for browser manipulation with even less effort than usual.
A neat advantage is that you don't have to go through a setup process for the application to work, because it comes in a light package and is good to go from the moment you finish downloading it. This also keeps your computer safe, since no registries need to be modified.
For the best experience, it's advisable to close any running web browser. Once launched, the application displays how to properly put it in motion, with the control bar appearing as soon as the web browser is launched. If you're using more browsers, you might want to stick to a single one, because the program only targets a single instance.
The application comes with good intentions, but you start to question practicality from the first few seconds in. A quick look at the transparent, always on top toolbar reveals the disappointingly shallow controls put at your disposal. A few buttons let you refresh, stop refresh, search, access favorites, as well as navigate back and forth, and this is literally it.
You can access the built-in help, but almost in vain, because it contains little info of use. Even if the application is compatible with popular browsers like Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Mozilla Firefox, it makes the whole web browsing experience both time-consuming and rather frustrating, with the set of controls overlapping the browser and it can't be moved.
All things considered, we can state that Browser Controls does nothing more than place basic navigation controls in a rather poor environment, which is more of an obstacle than an accessibility enhancement. No customization options or at least a button to quick launch your preferred browser are implemented. Overall, you're better off learning and using browser hotkeys; a much faster way to trigger the set of controls.
