What is Marwan Computer Timer?

Marwan Computer Timer is a free program for recording how much time you or any one else sits behind the computer, and when the computer starts and shutdowns. Also, you can get the average use of the computer (hour/day) and view this statistics in a table or a diagram.

It's nice to know who and how much time your children or any one else use your computer when you are outside. I hope you won't be shocked by the result. Actually, a lot of our children spend more time behind their screens than with each other.

Features:

  1. Full Records of time when you starts and when shutdowns your PC.

  2. Display some statistics like how much time you use your computer in day, month and year.

  3. Give you the average use of computer in hour per day.

  4. Multi-user support : view each user statistics and compare between them (Note: only administrator accounts will be monitored).

  5. Add or edit comment for each start-stop record.

Note: After you install this software it will start automatically monitoring your computer and you can stop this monitoring only by uninstalling this software. If you have more than one windows account install this software on one account only.

How to Use:

        When you run this program  you will see one line or more depending on how many times you start your computer after installing this program. Each line ,which I called record, gives information about when you start and stop your computer, the duration of that, the user of the computer, and your comment.

Note: You must keep this program installed on your system in order to keep recording.

        As you see in the image above I started using it in 2002  and I have now a lot of records. I can click on any day or month or year to show all their records. If I uncheck Full Details ( See Below) and click on any month or year I will get this information :1- computer use (hours)  2- average computer use (hour per day) 3- start count.

 

Using Chart:

        First, select All data or any year or any month as you want to see its statistics. Then, Click on Chart Button. If many users use your computer then you can chose either viewing chart of all users or of each separated users. see examples below.

  • The horizontal axis is the days of the selected month or the months of the selected  year or all the years.

  • You can chose one of the following as vertical axis:

  1. Duration: The use of your computer (hours).

  2. Start Count: The number of computer starts.

  3. Hour Per Day: The average use of your computer in hour per day.

 

Backup Data:

    Frequently backup the data files in order to restore them if  you lose or delete them by chance.
