Has potential, cool in a geeky way
I love seeing the spectrum, but the app isn't smart enough or sensitive enough. My Lowden seems to confuse it. Used on a 15" Macbook Pro (unibody 2009). Played with the mic level and raising it helped, but the app bounces from "too low" to "to high" and flips between strings that make no sense. I also think go the lowest pitched E string as the "Low E" rather than the "Top String." Please keep it up!
Very limited functionality
This app is only for tuning open strings (and not even very good for that). It does NOT locate or tune pitches other than the specified string on a specified instrument. Designers: you need to explain this in your description. What you call a “tuner” is not what most musicians would recognize as a tuning device.
Not bad?
Being a novice with instruments, I thought this app was amazing for tuning the Ukelele. As I said earlier, I'm a novice, so if you are pretty much carefree about exactness, this is the app to go!
