Would be great with a better dictionary

This game was one of the first that I downloaded. I love word games and go through five or six Penny Press paperbook puzzles a month and decided to try some games on the computer. I love the Classic Jumbline and like another reviewer think it would be excellent if it had a standard dictionary. Words that I know are words are not included while some that are not in a standard dictionary (I use Oxford American and American Heritage College dictionaries) are included. I've started playing various forms of solitaire in the last few months and so I don't play the Jumbline as much (which is probably a good thing in that it can be addictive). It's still a very good and inexpensive game.

Thanks Bookwoman! Hav you tried playing both classic and expert dictionaries? If you go to the main menu and select 'Classic' you'll see the option to disable/enable 'expert' at the bottom of the next screen. Just press "Timed" or "Untimed" afterwards to start a new game :)

I love this game

I love this game. Why? Because it's fun. No timer unless you want to use it. Love the sounds it makes. You can turn those off too if you want. Some of the words are redundant and sometimes you cannot find what they claim to be a word in the dictionary but then again, you do learn new words as you play. Today I typed in D E K E which was the only guess I hadn't tried yet. It fit. I looked it up and sure enough, it's a word. I downloaded this app a very long time ago and I haven't grown tired ofg it yet. It's simple, easy, no quirks or glitches, Just good clean fun!! The only thing I would change is adding another category of 10 letter words and 12 letter words. (or more)

Great for kids!

My kids love the word game, and its great for iproving typing skills - both speed and accuracy. Only drawback for the game is that it doesn't allow you to enter names for the high scores (something the competitive kiddos would have loved!).

Hi Gracey, thanks for your review & feedback. While we don't offer in-game rankings for multiple players, we do have an option to connect to Apple's Game Center for rankings. However, that said each player would need a different Apple ID.
