Great!

Awesome idea, not quite so well executed. This is not meant to be a browser, rather a viewer. The idea of this app is to have an icon in your menubar to monitor one website or another, for services which do not have their own app, such as Google Voice or MSN. The problem I have with it is it only allows *one* website, while I have a few such websites that have no other app. I am using it for Google Voice, and for this it works great. I would, however, like to have multiple instances, so as to monitor or check multiple different websites. Then, it would also be desirable to change the icon(s), or to have a submenu, with different selected websites divided into a menu selection. I, however, would prefer to have separate icons in the menubar. Great solution, though, to have one website to monitor.

Almost Perfect!

What a great app! The pre-configured sites are off-the-hook convenient, and expertly formatted for this little app. I’m adding all my “pinned” sites from Firefox, and then some! I’d like a little more privacy, however, so my boss wont look over my shoulder when I try to exit the app. You can only quit the app when the browser is fully opened, instead of right clicking the icon. ALSO, I would actually pay extra if I can run multiple instances of this app (for different sites) and maybe have the favicon of the site used so I can remember which is which. Other than that, my first impressions are that this is a well thought out, and nicely executed app. Well worth the few dollars!

Nice start.

Tab Browser is a nice start. It is clean and simple as would be wanted from a small browser. It is unobtrusive and doesn’t hog resources. It is great for single website viewing, especially news sites.

But the app is missing two basic elements of a browser. 1) There is no address bar. 2) There is no way to add or easily access favorites. Favorites can only be accessed in the preferences section and new favorites cannot be added. The only way to change the page is to go into the preferences custom setting and type in the address. It is not a ‘browser’ it is a single page viewer.
