These are plugins for 32 bit Windows-based digital audio recording programs which support Steinberg's VST standard. They are free for any use except for resale. All were created using the excellent Synthedit environment, using modules I developed with Synthedit's SDK. (Click 'More Modules' on the Synthedit home page.) Further information about audio programming can be found at Harmony Central.

INSTALL. Most of these downloads contain the plugin .dll by itself, which you just drop into your audio host's VST Plugins directory and restart your host. Minimal documentation can be obtained by clicking the plugin's "About" button (right-click the background in Cubase).

PhoneMon v1.0.1

Insert in your master-filter section while doing final mixing/mastering. Emulates several low-end consumer playback systems (Boombox, Earbud, etc). Also compensates when monitoring with headphones instead of speakers and has adjustable noise level to test intelligibility under travel conditions. Download

SnakeFur can serve as a mastering plugin to subtly restore harmonics lost by compression/limiting. It can also serve as a track warmer or a full-on overdrive/distortion pedal. Download

Badamp v2.1.2

Tube head/cabinet simulation. Adjustable clipping "hardness", symmetry (bias), power supply regulation, speaker cabinet resonances. Separate pre and power amp distortion stages and 2 distortion shapes (clipping and crossover distortion). 3 stages of EQ, acoustic feedback (distance controlled by MIDI CC or LFO). Powerful modulation plugin. Provides tremolo, delay, chorus, and/or a flexible and good-sounding flanger. Download

Metronome

Visual feedback of your host's tempo, to help anticipate the beat better than a simple click track. Functions as a VST instrument. Download

Noiseonator

VST instrument using midi frequency to set center frequency of a bandpass (peak) filter, acting on white or pink noise. Download

NewWave

Replaces audio input waveform with synthetic waveform of same frequency and amplitude. Download

Static

Adds amplitude-dependent "static" noise to audio input. Download
