JournalBear is a modern, open-source, cross-platform journaling application that encrypts your journals with a password, so only you can see them.

The app uses industry-grade AES-256 encryption to keep your personal memories safe from preying eyes. To ensure security, please use a strong password, or alternatively, a passphrase to encrypt your journal.

JournalBear uses Markdown for formatting, and provides support for emojis, tables, checklists, and images for a customized journal. Showdown is used to render Markdown.

The latest version is 5.0, which you can download from Softpedia. Alternatively, if you like, you can download the source code and run it yourself. The application uses the Electron framework.
