What is Marwan Internet Watcher?

Marwan Internet Watcher is a free program for monitoring dial-up modem connection.

It consists of two undivided programs:

1.   Internet Meter is a program for monitoring  internet connection speed.

2.      Connection Report is a program that shows you a full details of your connections including time, duration, max speed ,and average speed in a day or month or  year.

Note: this software is monitoring internet through dial-up modem only and don't work for ISDN or DSL or LAN connections.

Use:

1- Internet Meter:

 Provide full monitoring of your internet connection speed. See the photo:

As you see it is a small black bar you can put it wherever you want, and you can see it while browsing the internet easily. As you see above there is many numbers. The green number 02:57 is the Connection Time or Duration.  The yellow four numbers are, form the left to the right, as following:

• 2.36 Current connection speed Kb per Second (kb/s).

• 0.09 Average connection speeds (kb/s) during the last 5 seconds.

• 0.13 Average connection speed (kb/s) during the last minute.

• 0.50 Total average connection speed (kb/s).

Put the mouse over the Connection Time and a Tip will appear and give more information and it will be like the following:

 40,000 Bps    = the speed of the connection (bits per second).

 (R= 86%)        = receive byte percent of all the bytes transmitted through current connection.

Total= 9.8 kb  = the number of kilobytes transmitted through current connection.

Click right mouse button on the time label to show the main menu which includes (Close, Help,...).

2 - Connection Report:

With this program you can view your connections details that was added by Internet Meter . you can see a full report about how much time you use internet and how it cost in a day, month, or year:

• Duration: Internet using time.

• Avr Kb/s: Average connecting speed kilobyte per second.

• Max Kb/s: Max connecting speed recorded during the connection.

• From -To : Start-Stop Time for internet connection.

• Con. bps : connection (byte per second).

• Cost : Cost of the Connection and that depend on the Cost Options.

• User : Connection Name.

Menu Command:

File>Backup Data : Backup data to a safe folder that can be restore if the program is deleted

File>Restore Data : Shows all connections.

Filter>Add User : if there are more than one user and you want to see separate details for each user add each user name by this menu. and also each user must use one or more deferent connection and  each connection name must began with the user name for example if the user is Marwan he must use connection began with Marwan like Marwan - 4, Marwan - for.....

Filter>All : Shows all connections.

Filter>[User Name] : Shows the connections which its name began with [User Name].

Tools>Bill Report : Generate a Bill witch show the cost of the internet, like the bill in the following photo:
