Description

Guardian Angel watches over your computer when you can't, connecting to your phone via low-energy Bluetooth and locking your Mac whenever you leave, whether you're gone for a few seconds or a few hours, and automatically unlocking it when you return.

Not Too Close For Comfort: When you run Guardian Angel for the first time, you can choose how far you want to be from your Mac before it locks, so whether you're at home or in the office, you can tweak the range to your liking.

No Phone? No Problem: Before Guardian Angel gets to work, you'll be prompted to set a password to be used as a backup. That way, if you lose your phone, or it goes out of range, you can still get back into your Mac the old fashioned way.

No Distractions, Just A Watchful Eye: Nobody likes unnecessary distraction. That's why Guardian Angel lives in your menu bar, staying out of the way until you need it to spring into action. If you want to change any settings, the preferences button is still just a click away.

Key Features:
• Alter the range at which Guardian Angel locks your Mac
• Use Apple's screensaver as your lock screen
• Built-in actions to pause your iTunes and set your IM status to away when your Mac locks
• Add custom actions that take place when your Mac locks or unlocks.
• Support for multiple monitors

Does NOT lock on Catalina

After multiple attempts with my iPhone to have this application lock my Mac automatically when my iphone goes out of range, I was unable to get it to work.

The application would send a notification that the phone was out of range and the computer would be locked. However, the locking action would not occur.

I believe this app is defunct and non-functional.

Works fine

Mostly works just fine. Used to use TokenLock - used it for many many years. But recent MacOS updates made it extremely flakey, and sometimes it would run away with the processor. Devs admitted that they just can't keep up with the undocumented changes, so won't be doing updates.

Guardian Angel works just dandy. The interface is very nice. Every so often, if i need to adjust the bluetooth range for example, the icon in the menubar will disappear, and I have to manually kill it. I can live with that.

I'm on MacOS Mojave, so don't know what's up with the other reviewer's issues.

Does NOT Work on Mohave

Might have worked before but after installing on Mohave, it just sits in the menu bar and does NOTHING. Even if I manually tell it to lock...it does nothing at all. DELETED IT
