Description

iBoostUp frees up space on your Mac by purging unneeded files, gives you performance recommendations, protects your privacy by scanning apps and removing cookies, shows you easily accessible system information, and much more!

Now featuring Spyware Doctor and HID Implant Guard
Using a combination of state-of-the-art heuristic techniques plus cloud based signature scanning, Spyware Doctor* is able to determine whether any app (even those previously unseen) might exhibit malicious behaviour or be a risk to your privacy. Scan any app you download with Spyware Doctor before launching it.

HID Implant Guard alerts and protects you against modified peripherals such as USB drives or Lightning cables designed to tamper with your Mac. It blocks interaction and requests human confirmation whenever a new input device is detected, this prevents keypress injection attacks in the style of "BadUSB", "USB Rubber Ducky" and "O.MG Cable".
(HID Implant Guard is available via in-app purchase)

iBoostUp's Duplicate File Finder helps you regain disk space and reduce clutter by searching for files with identical content, irrespective of location or filename. Duplicate File Finder gives you the opportunity to review and select individual files for removal, but rest assured that in case of inadvertent deletion your files are recoverable from Mac OS's Trash until emptied. (Duplicate Finder is available to Mac Yosemite users or above via in-app purchase).

ARP Cache Poisoning is a hacking technique used to eavesdrop and otherwise manipulate your network traffic. It is of particular concern when connected to untrusted networks such as those found at airports, hotels and cafes.
With iBoostUp's ARP Cache Poisoning Detector you can scan for or be automatically alerted on suspicious network activity. (available to Mac OS Yosemite or above users via in-app purchase)

Reclaim more disk space by using iBoostUp's Application Uninstaller to seek out and remove application related files instead of simply dragging an app to the Trash. (available to Mac OS Yosemite or above users via in-app purchase)

Old and Unused File scanner
Searching for old and unused files on your Mac helps reduce clutter and free up disk space (free for premium users, available to other Mac OS Yosemite or above users via in-app purchase)

Disk Usage Tool
Track down which files and folders consume the most space in your home folder, your Mac's internal or any removable disk. Our Disk Usage Tool is completely free for all users.

App Viewer
App Viewer examines your selected application to display useful and not always easily accessible information. App Viewer is completely free for all users.

Introducing iBoostUp Premium Unlimited.
iBoostUp Premium Unlimited users enjoy full access to all current and future iBoostUp add-ons plus priority customer support.  This is the recommended option if you'd like to enjoy all that iBoostUp has to offer now and in future with a one off purchase. (premium is available to Mac OS Lion or above users via in-app purchase)

All in-app purchases are one-off, except where duration is shown in-app under the "Activate" button. The optional 'iBoostUp Premium' renews yearly, whilst all other in-app purchases such as 'Duplicate File Finder', 'iBoostUp Premium Unlimited', and so on are one-off payments. Where duration is shown, service will renew unless you turn that option off under your Account Settings at least 24-hours before the end of the current duration. Premium users, whether one-off or renewable will receive all updates and support, including all new paid features at no additional cost while their service is active.

Straith Del ,

I love this app, and my happy 2009 Mac Pro does, too.

I’ve used this app for nearly a decade now. As an experienced user, there are many things I could do myself, but still utilize this app for because it just makes it so quick and easy. Most other features I use, I need this for. From time to time, I’ll see new features get added. The add-ons are somewhat few and far between, but I couldn’t imagine much more to add than what they already have. It already is a wonderfully powerful suite of features.

That being said, I don’t know what features are locked behind premium and which are free. All I know is I love having all of them and very often use many of the premium services. Some of the best money I’ve ever spent. I’d go so far as to say you get your money back just from the ease of use and extended durability of keeping your mac clean and running like new for many years to come. I recommend the free app; I recommend the premium service WAY more. I hope the devloper has some cool new things planned, because I would love for this great app to get even better. Keep up the great work!

Excellent utility

I've used many different Mac utlities over the years, and this one rates at the top. Thses guys are very active on keeping this app current, which I apprecate, given Apple's new acclerated systems updates. The features added in the paid version are worth the cost. Great job, PTY!

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much, glad you like the app!

Update

I have been using iBoostUp for years for simple data maintenence. The latest update asks for access to your “home folder” and I am unable to choose any option, therefore leaving me optionless and searching for other reputable applications. Super disappointing the quality of this app has diminished greatly over time; perhaps it’s time to move on. Thanks for the past assistance but I have since deleted the app and have found other options.

P.S. - It seems rather arbitrary to ignore recent reviews and pass them off as “fake reviews” while clearly this is an issue and they are losing long time users because of it.

Developer Response ,

iBoostUp started requesting access to your home folder in 2012, this is when all App Store apps had to be sandboxed. Not the latest update. As a "long time user" of iBoostUp you'd know this. It's very straightforward to select your home folder and we do provide clear instructions in the prompt. Not sure how you can assert that the quality has dimished over time as it seems you weren't even able to make it past the welcome screen which was introduced in 2012.

Additionally, out of many thousands of users since the 2012 update we've had no other reports of people having problems selecting it either. Maybe because it's such a simple operation.

All users are welcome to read the FAQ on our website, contact support via email, read the in-app help section or even send a message from directly in the app itself. You did none of these things.
