2019 - Works good
Nothing is ever as easy as it first appears but after a bit of messing around with it, I found that it works as advertised and it's free, so a bit of confusion at first was fine, the price was right, lol. Don't be duanted by the fact that there's a bit to set up, it actually went by quickly after I got the hang of it. I would have given it a 5 star rating, except for the fact that I could not find any directions but pushing buttons here and there allowed me to get it to function to my liking. It works and it was transfered over to my Mac very quickly, so it deserves a 4 star rating, the poor ratings must be from older versions, this is 2019, ignore the reviews from years past, looking forward to putting a lot more photo's on my Mac now!
Update
To use remote view my phone say I have to update to version 0.9.3. The app store needs to update the 0.9.0 version.
Other than that the files transfer fine. I noticed that when I transfered a 3GB file from my phone to mac, it slowed down at 1GB.
But it went through. I was using Airdroid and it only lets you transfer 25mb max. This works way better.
Sometimes
I could sometimes send photos but for some reason I can't send videos and upload them to my mac
