New in Autodesk InfraWorks 2022 (Apr 20, 2021)

  • New:
  • Decorations for Component and Corridor Roads
  • New Vegetation Content
  • Complex 3D Girders
  • Other New and Updated Features:
  • Bridges and Tunnels:
  • Pan and selection is faster.
  • The Civil Structures Revit workflow now uses a shared parameters file, so that multiple people working in revti can share and define the same properties. The Autodesk Revit InfraWorks Updater plugin will now ask for a shared parameters file when importing an IMX from InfraWorks, if one has not already been assigned.
  • Decorations:
  • Add to Library on Component Roads now captures linear decoration attachment and includes those decorations in the assembly to be added to library.
  • A message bar will be displayed upon selection of legacy decorations informing the user that "This is an old version of decoration that must be converted before editing. Right-click to view conversion options." After the action is finished, the message bar informs the user of successful conversion.
  • Decoration's gaps react to road change through intersections and roundabouts.
  • Linear decorations that are not associated with a road now have an attach command on the decoration context menu. Free decorations can occur either through creating free form decorations from the InfraWorks toolbar glyph Create glyph Environment glyph Linear Decoration command or by orphaning a decoration by removing the data source of the parent road. Attach allows the user to associate the decoration with a road seam.
  • Linear Decoration has been added to the Create glyph Environment section of the InfraWorks toolbar. Enables the user to create unattached free form linear decorations independent of a road alignment.
  • Collaboration:
  • Now uses Autodesk Docs for model collaboration.
  • Full support for Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) projects. In InfraWorks, every mention of BIM360 has been changed to refer to "Autodesk Docs".
  • InfraWorks now supports multiple datacenters in different regions. However, the first new region won't be ready for the release, but a couple weeks later.
  • General:
  • Profile View does not cause an issue when zooming and panning from the very left side to the right.
  • Names displayed in the Style Palette for new Models are user friendly.
  • Added new vegetation content to the Infraworks content library: * Bushes (3) * Flowers (17) * Hedges (3) * Meadow (3) * Grass (6)
  • Hovering over a feature with a tooltip shows the tooltip. Double clicking on the feature with link opens the link (e.g. in a web browser).
