  • If you clipped a page from Nikkei in Simplified Article mode, Web Clipper was also including the page header and any hyperlinks. That defeated the whole purpose of "simplified", so we fixed it.
  • Web Clipper was having trouble clipping pages from nrc.nl in Article or Full Page mode, but we tracked down the problem and fixed it.
  • Occasionally, Web Clipper for Safari was having trouble clipping certain pages, but it should be smooth sailing now.
  • Web Clipper for Firefox was getting stuck trying to clip Amazon product pages in Japanese. A very specific wrong that has now been righted.
  • Want to clip something to Evernote but not sure where to save it? No problem. We added a handy link so you can open Evernote directly from Web Clipper first.
  • We tweaked Web Clipper so you can get to your saved clips even quicker. Now, after you clip something, one click is all it takes to view it in Evernote for Desktop or Evernote Web.

  • Web Clipper was being pushy and assumed that you wanted to use Dark Mode by default. Now it'll check to see what your system settings are first, and follow that unless you say otherwise.
  • If you clipped articles from Nikkei using Simplified Article mode, Web Clipper would sometimes discard the images as well as any ads. That was taking things a step too far, so we fixed it.
  • When you clipped a page from The Guardian using Bookmark mode, the thumbnail image wouldn't always come along for the ride. But now it'll appear exactly the way it's meant to.
  • There was an issue with Web Clipper that was preventing it from clipping pages from gamewith.jp. That was a big fail, but we tracked down the problem and fixed it.

  • Web Clipper and Chrome weren't playing together nicely and, as a result, any auto-translated pages you clipped would have the wrong note title. But they've sorted out their differences so it should be smooth sailing now.
  • Keyboard shortcuts are awesome and help you get things done quicker. So when we heard that typing "T" to add tags in Web Clipper wasn't working, we found the problem and fixed it.
  • Videos you clipped from YouTube would sometimes appear in Evernote with the wrong note title, but you should be off to the races now.

  • If you clipped an article from The Wall Street Journal in Simplified Article mode, the page header and any ads would sometimes come along for the ride. Since that's probably what you were hoping to avoid, we fixed it.
  • If you selected Simplified Article mode, clicked on a link, then switched to another clipping mode, the result was, well, not good. You should be able to change your mind whenever you want, though, so we fixed it.
  • Web Clipper occasionally had trouble detecting the right content on Pinterest, especially if you had selected "Article" or "Bookmark" format. But it should be smooth sailing now.
  • Web Clipper lets you quickly switch between two Evernote accounts so it's easier to keep your clips organized. That occasionally led to a problem with viewing clips in Evernote Web, but everything should be straightened out now.
  • If you used Bookmark mode to clip articles from The Guardian and, sometimes, Wikipedia, the images wouldn't always come along for the ride. But it should be smooth sailing now.

  • Occasionally, if you clipped pages that had Twitter content embedded in them, the images would appear blank. That was less than ideal, but on the bright side, we fixed it.
  • Here's a handy shortcut you might not have heard about: You can open Web Clipper (or close it if it's already open) simply by pressing ` on your keyboard.
  • If you clipped a web page in Safari using "Bookmark" format, the thumbnail wouldn't come along for the ride. But now it'll appear exactly the way it's meant to.
