  • In the new version, the speed in all applications could be increased through optimization. The program abylon APP-BLOCKER has also received many new features, such as Windows update and Windows Defender permanently disable.
  • Opening files in subdirectories of the Shreddrive sometimes led to a protection violation, which has been fixed by an error correction.
  • For animated images a .NET component is needed. This is now initialized correctly, so that possible call problems are excluded.
  • By clicking on a column, all tables can be sorted chronologically.

  • If the execution from the file explorer via the context menu of the right mouse button does not work or the LOGON does not start properly, a change in the registry can remedy the situation. To do this, change the following value under "HKLMSoftwareabylon\Flags" from YES to NO.
  • The autostart of the program can be activated and deactivated via the menu (3 dashes).
  • When deleting directories, sometimes so-called ghosts remained. Deleted directories are now correctly removed in the directory display.
  • The waiting dialog when starting the software is automatically closed after 5 seconds in case of a problem.
  • The size of icons in lists and trees has been reduced to 28x28 pixels.

  • Ctrl+A can now be used to select all files in the list. Also the sort order can be changed by clicking on the corresponding column. Here sorting is done by alphabet, size and date in the list view.
  • File operations in the program window were not displayed promptly, so that deleted files, for example, were still listed in the file list. This has now been optimized and if there are still problems, the display can be updated via the update icon. In addition, further optimizations have been made to increase stability.
  • Administration rights are no longer required to check whether a new update is available.

  • Problems when changing the encryption secret (e.g. from chip card to password) have been eliminated.
  • The PasswordScrambler is used to protect against spying out the password. This makes it difficult for keyloggers to intercept the entered password. When the password scrambler was activated, the keyboard input was sometimes misinterpreted.
  • In certain cases, abylonsoft software requires a so-called system context for the execution of actions. In this regard, the query has been expanded so that this function also works correctly in languages ​​other than German and English.
  • Encryption with smart card (logon and data) has changed. For this reason, data encrypted by older versions should be better decrypted before the update.
  • Starting with this version, support for ACOS, Mifare and Desfire chip cards is explicitly offered. A 32-byte AES random key can optionally be written to ACOS and Desfire cards.
  • The support of the CT-API for old memory chip cards (OLD KV cards) has been completely discontinued. However, current EC cards and eGK (health cards) with CHIP can be addressed via the PC/SC interface and used in our software!
  • As of version 22, card access is optimized by adapting it for special card types (e.g. ACOS, DESFIRE, MIFARE ). This significantly increased the speed of map access. In addition, this makes card access less error-prone.
  • A small error had crept into the positioning of the settings dialog, which has now been corrected.

  • Initial tests of our software products were successfully conducted on the new Windows 11 operating system from Microsoft.

  • The icon menu has been given the new item Create new file. The newly created file is then selected and marked directly.
  • Entire folders with subdirectories can now be added to the encrypted directory.
  • The positioning and font output have been corrected and standardized in all waiting dialogs.
  • After reinstalling the software and directly creating a drive or account, the corresponding page of the settings dialog is displayed.
  • For improved clarity, the last file is now marked after an action.
  • In order to prevent problems with the registration dialog, this is now always set in the reason (TopMost). Now when you click on another window, the registration dialog should no longer slide into the background.
  • Under certain conditions, the password entry window does not always have the focus to enter the password directly. This was solved programmatically with a so-called mouse click event. If this leads to problems, this can be deactivated via a registry flag. See the support page under Password!
  • NOTE: Please note that the password scrambler converts certain special characters into other characters. If the program from abylonsoft does not recognize the password input correctly, this should be repeated with the password scrambler activated or deactivated.
