Listen to the “Missing Windows XP” goodbye song for the old operating system

Windows XP no longer receives updates and security patches and this is undoubtedly very bad news for plenty of consumers worldwide who are still running this operating system, because they simply love it more than any other platform on the market.

With this in mind, songwriter Jimmy Lee has created a brand new goodbye song for the operating system launched in 2001 and retired in 2014, thus trying to emphasize that Windows XP’s death marks the end of an era.

This isn’t quite the kind of song that could win the Eurovision song contest, but it’s just another proof that Windows XP was more than just as an operating system, as millions of users are still in pain after Redmond decided to pull the plug and discontinue it once and for all.

If it makes any difference, Windows XP is still installed on 28 percent of desktop computers worldwide and it’s pretty clear that it’ll continue to have a large market share in the coming months, even though the parent company wants everyone to upgrade as soon as possible.

The problem is that many users could become vulnerable overnight, so it remains to be seen what is going to happen once hackers find an unpatched security flaw in the operating system.
