The fresh release candidate for Adobe’s Camera Raw 7.2 adds support for new cameras, but it also includes tools that can recover the entire recorded image, even when shooting in camera crop mode.

According to the release notes for this RC, this functionality is available to the newly supported devices, in Adobe Lightroom too.

As for the problems eliminated with this revision, you can now modify the “Erase” size, feather and flow settings while utilizing the Option key on Mac systems. Also, now metadata can be written to images that have already been opened with third-party software.

In the previous build of the plug, the Luminance noise slider was unresponsive when Clarity value was above zero. Last on the list, defringe settings are retained if the file is edited in Photoshop as a smart object and then loaded in Camera Raw.
