After yesterday’s release of the stable version for Lightroom 5, Adobe launched the final build for Camera Raw 8.1.

Apart from increased support for cameras and lens profiles and for HiDPI screens, the new revision also brings to the table a few fixes that affected the functionality of the product.

The developer eliminated a bug that would introduce artifacts when working with the Fill Light adjustment and the processing of the image would be carried out using the PV2010 process version.

Another issue addressed in this release touches on the Red Eye removal tool, which would lighten the area when the red eye darken adjustment was set to 100%.

In the case of images taken with a Fuji X100s camera users should notice that the default amount of sharpening applied to the pictures has been reduced.

As announced for the beta release, Camera Raw 8.1 is for Photoshop CS6 users and does not include any of the new features promoted in the marketing materials for Photoshop Creative Cloud.
