Adobe released new updates for Flash Player (11.5) and AIR (3.5). The fresh revision (11.5.502.135 for Windows and 11.5.502.136 for Mac) is part of the monthly updates from the company and contains security improvements as well as repairs.

The list of fixes is not large and announces that there should no longer be problems with Flash Player loading large images.

Video-related problems eliminated in this release refer to video playback being broken on Digital Theater AIR app and wrong layering or depth of video component after re-activating the app on Nexus 7 device.

On Mac systems, AIR would not enforce output protection when switching or dragging from internal to external monitor.

Apart from repairs, there is also a new feature available. It is Android-specific and consists of an XML element <containsVideo> in the “application.xml”. The new parameter is important because it helps keeping the right order of the video with other Flash content across different Android versions.
