Adobe released the release candidate for Lightroom 4.4. The fresh build adds support for new cameras and lenses. It also includes a correction to the demosaic algorithms for Fujifilm models equipped with the X-Trans sensor.

A batch of issues have also been eliminated in this revision, among them the problem with the incorrect resizing of the crop overlay tool when “Constrain to Crop” option would be enabled.

Background graphics should now be rendered correctly in the Book module and users should no longer have problems with the Filter scrollbar in the Library module not being rendered properly.

On Mac, the preview of photos in portrait orientation used to be blurry in the filmstrip, under the Develop module, but this glitch was addressed in the latest release candidate.

The entire list of fixes and the newly supported cameras and lens profiles are available here.
