Photoshop CS6 received a minor update, incrementing the build number to 13.0.1.2 for Windows platform and 13.0.5 for Mac systems, for perpetual license customers.

The new build is designed to correct significant problems occurring on both platforms.

Notable on Windows were issues related to scratch disk access, which led to failure to launch the application from an account with limited privileges. The full change log for Windows is available on this page.

On Mac, the critical issues repaired related to Flash panel support. Simply clicking a pop-up in a Flash extension panel would sometimes cause Photoshop to crash. Click here for the full set of Mac specific issues fixed with this update.

Glitches common to both platforms have also been addressed. One of them refers to font size changing to a non-integer value upon moving a type layer with a free transform active.

The second issue that occurred on both Windows and Mac would cause modifications to the end result when a transformed type layer’s point size is changed, when nothing should be altered.

All the fixes in this update will be included in the upcoming Photoshop Creative Cloud (CC), together with the already announced new features. Photoshop CC is scheduled for release on June 17.
