If the new flat look integrated into Windows 8 and 8.1 isn’t quite your cup of tea, this simple software solution could come in very handy.

As you might guess by simply reading its name, Aero Glass is an application that brings the classic Aero effect on Windows 8, thus adding transparency to all windows.

The only thing you need to do after downloading the app is to unpack all items and launch the executable file. The developer recommends that users close all running programs, just to make sure that the interface won’t be messed up.

At this point, the app doesn’t seem to be a major resource hog, but there’s still room for improvements, so future versions are very likely to have a lower footprint on system resources.
