Optimized password quality assessment, better access to functions

The newest KeePass, version 2.23, brings to the table numerous new features that increase the functionality of the application, a slew of improvements and a few repairs.

At the top of the list of modifications, there is the availability of a revised algorithm for assessing the password strength. Estimating the quality of the countersigns is done by calculating patterns (repeated sequences, variations by upper-/lower-case and L33t substitutions, etc.) from popular passwords.

KeePass 2.23 improves access to certain functions by making available new toolbar buttons in the main application window and commands in the system tray icon. Now it includes support for the new RoboForm format as well as for groups, bookmark description and icons when importing from Firefox.

The developer added the possibility to accept invalid SSL certificates; however, the option is turned off by default.

The fresh revision remembers the last active database and not the last opened or saved one. A full list with all the changes in this release is available on this page.
