Dropbox for Windows 8 has been around for a while, but due to the lack of features, many users have quickly abandoned it soon after installation.

An update for the program is now being delivered to Windows 8 users through the Store, but it’s not yet clear if anything has changed in this new release.

The change log is yet to be updated with new information, so the application was most likely launched with performance and stability improvements, so a slightly enhanced experience should be noticed after you get this fresh build.

Of course, Dropbox continues to be compatible with all Windows 8 versions, including the tablet-oriented Windows RT that’s almost powering Microsoft’s very own Surface RT tablet.
