Mozilla released version 21 for Firefox beta recently, which introduces features that are a stepping stone for improving the browser, especially in terms of performance.

The fresh revision will offer suggestions for better startup times, when it detects that the browser launches slower than it should. This consists in a message that leads you to tips that are generally effective towards speeding up the start times, such as enabling the "don't load tabs until selected" feature or disabling extensions you don’t need and themes.

Firefox Health Report is another feature (preliminary stage) designed to optimize the browser. It collects technical indicators (details about stability and performance) and sends it to Mozilla for analysis. Users have the possibility to disable the feature and delete the data associated to their browser.

Additional modifications refer to enhancing the three-state user interface for DNT (Do Not Track), ability to restore removed thumbnails on the new tab page and graphics-related performance improvements.

The stub installer may become permanently available for the beta testers sooner than expected.
