The latest Aurora has not yet been pushed to the users through Firefox’s update system, but the build is currently available for download.

As far as the features are concerned, Mozilla plans on changing the new tab page and add some color and functionality to it. The goal is to offer options that cut on the navigation time to the user’s next task.

Silent updates, applied upon browser shutdown, are also on the change list for Firefox Aurora 10. The idea is to eliminate the delay caused by the current updater and the progress dialog. On the same note, the developer plans to find a way to override the OS security dialog on Windows (UAC).

Extending the update system for add-ons that are not hosted on AMO is also in the cards. The plan is to eliminate the need to update compatibility information for the add-ons not hosted on AMO so they work between Firefox versions.
