Internet Download Manager 6.17 has received a new a build today, so users who installed a previous version should get the new one as soon as possible.

The fresh build comes to address some of the issues found by users in older releases, including a bug causing high CPU loading when downloading files at high speed.

At the same time, it resolves problems with downloading videos from several sites, while also changing Google Chrome extension because of false identification from Google.

Just as expected, Internet Download Manager 6.17 Build 6 continues to work just fine on all Windows versions still supported by Microsoft, so you can install it regardless of whether you're running the ancient XP or the modern Windows 8.
