Immediately after the recent acquisition of ZeroVulnerabilityLabs, Malwarebytes started working on the Anti-Exploit product, a solution designed to protect applications from zero-day exploits.

Recent development of Anti-Exploit (formerly known as ExploitShield) brought the program to build 0.9.2.1400 beta, which integrates several fixes and some improvements.

The developer informs that the fresh revision should no longer crash when running Google Chrome under certain configurations.

They also solved the issue with a couple of false positives; one would occur when downloading a binary file through Google’s browser while the other manifested upon opening MS Word with certain add-ins.

The improvements in this revision refer to the upgrade mechanism when installing a new version of the application on top of an older one. Also on the list are minor interface optimizations, but there are no specific details available.
