Report reveals streaming problems when using a Band

Microsoft unveiled its very own smartwatch-wannabe called Band last month, and the device has really sold like hot cakes since its public debut, so it's really hard to get one these days.

But those who were lucky enough to get their hands on a Microsoft Band found some pretty unusual problems when trying to use the device in their cars, as there seems to be some interferences with Bluetooth-capable car stereos.

According to a report by Windows Central, Windows Phone, iOS and most likely Android customers too found issues when trying to use the Band in cars equipped with Bluetooth audio systems. Music streaming no longer works as expected, these users say, as music playback is interrupted at random times for no apparent reason.

At this point, Microsoft hasn't yet provided a statement on what causes the problem, so it appears that the Bluetooth connection is at fault on these devices, mostly because the two connections between the phone, the Band, and the car stereo system interfere with each other.

Since Redmond hasn't yet provided a workaround for this problem, users have no solution to fix this at this point, so waiting seems to be the only option for the time being.

Fortunately, a firmware update that could improve Bluetooth connection scenarios and which could fix all issues behind these devices will come in the coming weeks.
