Microsoft has recently announced that Carlos de Torrents would become its new vice-president of advertising and online in Canada on July 1.

De Torres will thus replace Owen Sagness who will be transferred to London, United Kingdom to take the role of general manager of advertising and online at the local Microsoft division.

De Torres will be responsible for the advertising campaigns behind several products, including Xbox, Skype, Windows 8, Windows Phone, Bing and MSN.

“It is a privilege to join the Canadian team during these exciting times, and I will give my best to develop a strategic business for Microsoft in the coming years. I am very grateful for the opportunity and privilege to contribute to the growth of Microsoft here in Canada,” de Torres said in a statement.
