It will be released as version 1.1.830X.0, affecting various products

A new flavor of the Antimalware Engine is expected to become available tomorrow, Microsoft has announced.

The update will arrive as part of the software company’s regular updates for the AntiMalware technology, and is meant to address the latest in the threat landscape.

The Microsoft Malware Protection Center has confirmed that the new software release was meant for the following products: Microsoft Security Essentials, Forefront Client Security, Forefront Endpoint Protection, Windows Intune Endpoint Protection.

Following the update, the antimalware engine version will be in the range of 1.1.830X.0, the Redmond-based software giant also unveiled.

The latest update for the engine was made available for download on March 20th, and arrived as version 1.1.8202.0, aimed at all Microsoft Security Essentials and Forefront Client Security, Forefront Endpoint Protection, Windows Intune Endpoint Protection customers.
