Microsoft is working to bring all of its products and services closer together and provide a similar experience across all devices by allowing access to all it has to offer no matter if you're at the office, in the car, or on the go.

In addition to Windows 10, Cortana, cloud services, and many other products, Microsoft is also working to make Skype available on as many devices as possible, and the recently announced Skype for Business, which will replace Lync later this year, is supposed to help the company achieve this goal.

In a video revealed today, Microsoft shows how Skype for Business is going to become a critical part of our lives, making communication easier no matter where you are.

The video, which actually shows part of Microsoft's vision for the future, imagines a world where Skype is being used on smartwatches, on tablets, and smartphones to help people get in touch with each other in a much more effective way, thus establishing easy connections without the language or distance barrier.

Of course, Skype would work closely with Cortana, Microsoft's digital assistant that will be there to help you with your tasks, and will also come with translating options that will make communication with someone who doesn't speak your language just as easy as with your friends.

Needless to say, Skype will be available not only on Microsoft devices but also on iPhones and Android handsets, which would help the Redmond-based giant increase the number of users on rival platforms and thus boost its chances to bring more people on its very own, where a fully integrated experience is being offered.
