Here's what's hiding underneath the upgraded Vapor Magnesium case

Microsoft presented the Surface 2 a couple of hours ago, claiming that the improved version of the Surface RT is faster and lighter than its predecessor.

Basically, the tech giant has tried to enhance the technical side of the device by adding a new processor provided by Nvidia and specifically optimized for better performance and longer battery life.

Of course, the device is powered by the new Windows RT 8.1 operating system which, in its turn, has been tweaked to be used in both portrait and landscape modes.

As I've told you after Microsoft's launch event for the Surface 2, the device is now available for pre-order, but deliveries will only begin on October 22, four days after the launch of Windows 8.1.
