If you’re on Windows 8.1, you might notice that some new app updates are available for your device, including two new versions of the official Music and Video tools.

Microsoft has rolled out a pack of improvements for the two apps earlier today and is now shipping them to devices across the world, including both PCs and tablets running either Windows 8.1 or Windows RT. Surface RT tablets are obviously getting the updates too.

Only little is known about these new versions, but performance improvements and bug fixes are included in the rollout, so make sure that you deploy them as soon as possible to get the best possible experience when using Windows 8.1.

If you haven’t changed the default Windows 8.1 store configuration, app updates are automatically delivered to your computer, so the new versions of Music and Video might already be there. Otherwise, you need to manually download them from the store or from the web using the links below.

Needless to say, the apps are offered with a free license and are completely optimized for the touch, which makes them just perfect for those using tablets powered by Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1.
