Microsoft has recently announced that its 2013 BUILD developer conference would take place June 26 to June 28 in San Francisco, while registration opened on April 1.

The company confirmed after approximately 24 hours that the conference had already been sold out, so those who want to attend the event have no other option than to watch it online.

“Build 2013 is officially sold out! You can still watch keynotes, select sessions, & live Q&A online,” the Redmond-based Windows maker said in a post on Twitter.

BUILD 2013 has stirred up interest especially because Microsoft is expected to unveil the new Windows 8.1 during the event. The first public beta of the operating system is likely to go live only days before the conference, so Microsoft would thus try to get closer to the conference and collect feedback on the upcoming Windows 8 upgrade.
