Link to Windows 10 content and earn a commission

With the release of Windows 10, Microsoft is trying to help developers earn more money by allowing the biggest part of their code to be used for apps on PCs and smartphones, but the company seems to be looking into more ways to monetize the popularity of its operating system.

The Affiliate Program that Microsoft is offering allows webmasters to link to products belonging to the company, and every time a sale is completed, to earn a commission. And now that Windows 10 is almost here, the firm is expanding this program to include apps, games, music, and video available in the store.

As Neowin writes, webmasters would have to link to apps and games designed to run on Windows 10 and earn a commission whenever someone purchases an item from the store through their link.

Microsoft doesn’t say how much you can earn through referrals, but anyone can register for the program using this link. Obviously, a website is required and you must be living in one of the supported countries. Applications are all reviewed, with a response being offered in five business days.

Windows 10 is projected to launch in the summer of 2015, and its store will provide access not only to apps and games but also to music, video, and TV series, so expect more such programs to be unveiled in the coming months.
