A new update is in the works for avast! line of products Free AV, Pro AV and Internet Security, as the development team released a public beta for build 7.0.1442.

The list of changes shows only one new feature, SiteCorrect, which is designed to protect you from typosquatting. As such, if you misspell an URL address the module automatically steps in by displaying a message in the browser alerting you on the typo.

Improving the various modules in the application seems to be the main focus of this release. In the case of Remote Assistance now there is support for Windows Account Control (UAC) prompts.

The improvements targeting SafeZone protection include protection against kernel-mode keyloggers, updated SafeZone Browser, as well as clipboard sharing. On the same note, WebRep should now work with Opera, as a plugin has been created for the web browser.
