14 DAY TRIAL // New screenshots showing the upcoming Windows 8.1 Update 1, which is actually the first major update for Windows 8.1 that’s supposed to debut in April, have leaked to the web, again confirming that Microsoft has completed development of several testing builds.
While they do not show anything new besides a build number, these screenshots do confirm that we’re getting really close to the official launch party expected to take place in April at BUILD 2014.
Microsoft is yet to confirm the launch event, but just like in the previous year, the BUILD show is projected to host the unveiling of several new projects, including Windows 8.1 Update 1 and Windows Phone 8.1.
At the same time, people close to the matter indicated that Microsoft could break the news on Windows 9 at BUILD, as the official launch of the next full OS release is due in April 2015.
