Increased performance should be noticed with high-latency sites

The latest snapshot for Opera 11.62 has been released, just like the Thursday before and one of the most important modifications may increase the performance of the browser, especially in the case of high latency websites. The reason for this is that the latest build loads the resources in a more efficient manner.

This is the most important modification in this release, but other changes, such as repairs, are also available. As such, crashes reported by the automated logging system have been eliminated, as well as one occurring after SVG animation.

If you care to test the new build for increased performance, make sure you clear the crash before comparing it with version 11.61 of the browser. Also, minor differences should not be taken into consideration, only clear cut results.
