The stable release may be launched by the end of the week

Opera is making quick progress towards launching a new stable version as the developer rolled out a new release candidate, the second, just before the weekend.

With only three entries in the changelog, this RC would be a very strong hint at a stable version being ready by the end of the week.

One of the lines informs that the developer has reverted a fix, because it caused typing problems in the address bar. The initial issue was that the text in the address field would be misaligned in the new Speed Dial tab when the Turbo badge was present.

One of the fixes available in this revision addresses a crash that occurred when closing connections that were told to be closed, but failed to do so.

Another repair refers to Opera sending out connection requests if turbo proxy is not listening on SPDY port.
