Microsoft has recently rolled out a new version of the Outlook.com calendar, more than one month after the company finally pushed the email service out of beta.

The new calendar service “is faster than ever,” Microsoft said in a blog post, and “helps you focus on the events and appointments and tasks you’ve added.”

Basically, the design of the calendar seems to be inspired from the Windows 8 live tile concept, as it features a modern look, obviously designed to make navigation and managing easier.

“You can add or edit events with a single click, enter an event by simply dragging your mouse across the time or date range you need, add tasks without opening a new page, and jump to a particular day simply by clicking the date,” Microsoft explained.

The new calendar design is currently rolled out to users across the world so, in case you’re not seeing it at this time, just wait a little bit more until Microsoft completes the launch.
