Today, Panda released version 2.1.1 for their Cloud Antivirus product. Some of the users should already have the new release installed, thanks to the automatic update mechanism, while others will have to wait for the update to trickle in in the following days.

The fresh revision is quite an important one as it is the first one that comes with the “Windows 8 Compatible” logo, which is actually a certification that Panda Cloud Antivirus is fully compatible with the latest operating system from Microsoft.

Panda Cloud Antivirus 2.1.1 is a maintenance release and features improvements to the heuristic technologies and the anti-exploit protection as well as a set of repairs.

The developer announced that the issue with “blocking of files until results are returned from the cloud – time settings” has been eliminated.

Additional repairs touch on GUI not opening on occasions, some linguistic errors and with the remote IP address displayed in firewall popups. Furthermore, users upgrading to Pro version of the application should no longer see promotional banners.
