The unofficial portable version of Firefox 29 is up for grabs

Mozilla today launched the new Firefox 29 with Australis, so users of all platforms out there, including Windows, Linux, and Mac can now give a try to the most significant makeover of the browser.

Portable Firefox, the unofficial build of the app that can be used without installation, has also been updated to version 29 a few minutes ago, so if you're looking for an app to use on the go, this could be the right choice.

Portable Firefox 29 also comes with the Australis interface and pretty much the same feature lineup, while also offering support for the majority of Windows versions currently on the market. Keep in mind that this portable build is only aimed at Windows users and isn't an official version released by Mozilla.

As far as the Australis interface is concerned, it remains a very controversial improvement that confuses quite a lot of users who either prefer to stick to the previous Firefox 28 build or turn to several workarounds to store the classic design of the browser.

In the end, there's no doubt that this new version of the browser is at least worth a try, especially because of the Australis interface, so download Portable Firefox 29 right now to see what it brings new.
