14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft recently released the final build of its Internet Explorer 10 browser for Windows 7, so users of this particular operating system are recommended to get the update as soon as possible.
While this is clearly good news for Windows 7 consumers, it’s worth reminding that IE10 comes with Do Not Track turned on by default, as Microsoft has already pledged to protect users’ privacy as much as possible.
Of course, it’s still possible to turn off tracking protection, but Microsoft recommends users to keep this option enabled, just to make sure they’re in control of their privacy.
“In keeping with our commitment on prioritizing the privacy of our customers, the Do Not Track (DNT) signal is turned on in IE10 for Windows 7. In addition to Tracking Protection, IE continues to lead in providing increased choice and control over your privacy online. Customers can choose to turn-off the DNT signal in the options settings in Internet Explorer,” Microsoft said.
