StartIsBack has just received a new version specifically designed for Windows 8.1 that can bring back the traditional Start button on Microsoft’s Modern OS.
Called StartIsBack+ and still in beta, the new app packs almost the same features as the original build, along with a couple of exclusive options.
First of all, the program comes with what the developer calls “everything at once” to simply launch the app switcher and the Charms bar using the Windows key. Then, there’s the Taskbar on Start screen option that keeps your Taskbar always visible when switching to Metro UI.
StartIsBack+ is offered as a free update to existing StartIsBack users and can be installed on both the 32- and the 64-bit versions of the new Windows 8.1 Preview.
