Steve Ballmer held the first keynote of this year’s Worldwide Partner Conference, providing us with new details not only on the company’s future, but also on Windows 8.1 and some other products.

Ballmer has explained that Windows 8.1 was specifically designed to address customer feedback, so the operating system packs not only a Start button, but also many other features requested by users.

At the same time, Ballmer has also talked about Microsoft’s future, explaining that the Redmond-based giant is trying to focus more on users and its partners.

“We will only succeed as a company if we arm you to go approach these challenges. You need to see these products. You need to understand their potential. You need to believe that they can help you serve our joint customers. You need to know each other,” Ballmer told the attendees.
