Windows 8.1 comes with plenty of improvements, but also with two new Bing Metro apps “providing you with a fast, fluid and consistent way to delve into your interests and get things done,” as Microsoft explained.

The new Food & Drink and Health & Fitness app comprise not only helpful content, but also some revolutionary tools supposed to enhance your overall experience with a Windows 8 tablet.

For example, the Food & Drink app includes what is being called a Hands-Free Cooking Mode that “allows you to follow recipes step by step from your device without hassling with messy hands that may damage your computer. Now recipe pages can be turned with a simple hand wave in front of the computer or tablet’s camera using the gesture controls in Windows 8.1.”

At the same time, Health & Fitness comes with tutorials and videos, as well as with health and diet trackers for Windows 8.1 users.

The two apps are only included in Windows 8.1 Preview and you cannot download them from the Store on Windows 8.
