In addition to plenty of other improvements available in Windows 8.1, the new operating system also includes a revamped Bing Maps app that comes with exclusive features on this particular platform.

Microsoft announced during the BUILD developer conference that Bing Maps can now offer personalized recommendations, while also offering deeper integration with other Windows 8 apps.

“The new version includes improvements that give you personalized recommendations, makes finding local information quicker and easier, helps you make the choices and even helps with tasks like restaurant reservations,” Microsoft explained.

In Windows 8.1, users are allowed to simply explore the local weather with the Weather app, check out the Facebook and Twitter pages of specific businesses, and book tables with the help of OpenTable.
